What Are the Types of Metal Stamping?
There are various casting methods available depending on part size, desired material, geometry, and quantity.
A low volume process with a short lead time and no tooling requirements.
A low cost option for limited production quantities of parts made from most metals and plastics. Parts are hand fed into each forming station.
A low cost process suited for low and high volume applications with less complex geometry.
A process used for medium to high volume runs suited for parts with multiple diameters and bends.
Low cost tooling capable of forming larger parts with deep draw ratios.
A high volume forming process that’s used to produce hollow parts with multiple diameters. Side piercing and coarse threads can be formed in the press.
